12 Ornaments for Christmas: Styrofoam Snowman

If you have small children, or cats, your tree probably looks like ours and has nothing on the bottom half.  Here are ornaments that are kid friendly, for that bottom half, and break resistant, for those persistent cats.

Ornament 7: Styrofoam Snowman

  • Pipe cleaner
  • Craft pom-poms
  • Styrofoam Ball (3in)
  • Buttons
  • Felt
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors

  1. Cut the pipe cleaner in half; leave it a little longer if you also want to use it as the hanger.
  1. Glue one end of the pipe cleaner to the center of one side of the ball and then add more glue on the pipe cleaner to add the pom-pom. Repeat on the opposite side.

  1. Glue on the button eyes, felt nose, and button mouth. (Remember to clear away the hot glue strings so your snowman doesn’t look like he has snot all over its face.)
  1. Cut a few small lines into the scarf felt for a fringed end. Wrap the scarf in a circle positioning it about how you would like it to lay. Place a circle of hot glue on the bottom of the ball about the size of the scarf and put the scarf in place.

  1. Thanks for using an Arrow glue gun for this project. These are great! #MadeWithArrow
