SUMMER BUCKET LIST ACTIVITIES

This weeks Homemade Monday edition focuses on summer planning. I keep reading memes all over social media that say we only have 18 summers with our kids before they leave the nest. Knowing this motivates me to make sure summer time is fun and memorable.  If you are looking for opportunities to bond, keep busy or even prevent your kids from say “I’m bored” then this weeks activity is the perfect summer activity for you.  Here is a summer bucket list activity for kids that includes print off coloring page, project and even ideas for summer fun!

WHAT IS A  SUMMER BUCKET LIST

A summer bucket list is a list full of experiences you wish to accomplish over summer.  I love summer bucket lists because they empower children to make goals and set a plan in a fun way. They are also great for the summer because they can help you understand what family members have in mind for summer fun and definitely help in keeping boredom at bay.

POPSICLE STICK PROJECT

This activity is super easy and doesn’t require a lot of supplies. All you will need is colored sticks, marker and container for safe keeping. The first thing I did is make a list of fun things to do and then color code them.  I have assigned each type of activity a different color:

YELLOW=  Outdoor Activities (things to do outside in the sun)
PURPLE= Summer Treats (fun things to eat)
GREEN=  Educational/Science Projects
ORANGE= Art, Activity or Craft
BLUE=  Around Town (hometown activities)
Red= Field Trip (Museum, Zoo, Etc)
