Location: Historic St. Mary’s

Details: Meet at the Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary to join the Little Explorers as we sit in the sun and walk down to the water. Parents – we are not planning on wading in. Instead, will soak up the sun and enjoy the day!

Little Explorers discover the world at Historic St. Mary’s City through storytelling, crafts, songs, and outdoor exploration. Preschoolers, ages 3-5, and an accompanying adult are invited to gather at Historic St. Mary’s City for an hour of adventure, fun, and learning twice monthly on Wednesdays in the spring and fall. Each Little Explorers gathering features a different theme.

The program runs from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Admission is $4 per child for non-members ($3 for Friends members) and accompanying adults visit free. The fee includes full-day admission to the museum.     Annual Montpelier Festival of Herbs, Tea, and the Arts

    Details: Welcome spring and delight in the sights and sounds of nature, art, and history at this fun festival for the entire family, hosted by Montpelier House Museum and Montpelier Arts Center. Visit with vendors on the grounds, relax to live music in the Music Tent, attend a talk on gardening, tour the house museum, and indulge in a Picnic Tea Box with finger sandwiches, pastries and a scone inside (available to order starting April 1). At the Arts Center, you can see exhibits, visit artists’ studios, watch demos, and attend a live performance.

    Starting April 1st through April 25th, 2024, picnic Tea Boxes with finger sandwiches, a scone, pastries, and tea will be available for purchase. Boxes Must Be Picked Up At The Festival.

    Details: Create your own wooden project each month. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last.
