    LITTLE EXPLORERS- GOING ON A BEAR HUNT

    Details:

    Meet at the Visitor Center to discover the different furs down at the Woodland Indian Hamlet.

    Little Explorers discover the world at Historic St. Mary’s City through storytelling, crafts, songs, and outdoor exploration. Preschoolers, ages 3-5, and an accompanying adult are invited to gather at Historic St. Mary’s City for an hour of adventure, fun, and learning twice monthly on Wednesdays in the spring and fall. Each Little Explorers gathering features a different theme.

    The program runs from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Admission is $4 per child for non-members ($3 for Friends members) and accompanying adults visit free.     Location: Calvert Marine Museum

    Details: Be a paleontologist for the day! Ongoing activities include: digging for “dinosaur bones” in the Discovery Room sand box, a scavenger hunt filled with fun dinosaur facts that ends with participants cracking a dinosaur egg, and making a dino hat. Scheduled activities at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. include: excavating real fossils from matrix, singing special dinosaur songs and learning the dinosaur stomp dance. Activities appropriate for ages 4-10.

    FREE with museum admission.

    MARYLAND STEM FESTIVAL

    The Maryland STEM Festival, Inc. (MSF) has been established to operate the Festival. The mission of the Festival is to encourage all students regardless of background and experience to take a greater interest in STEM with the hope they will pursue a STEM related/focused career.
