COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY ART

02/09/2022 12:00 PM - 02/10/2022 9:00 AM

The Playful Parent, Landon’s Ices & Creams, Keep La Plata Beautiful and Town of La Plata have parented to host a community art project “Collaborative Black History Quilt.” Please join us in this educational and fun community art project. You can pick up a free quilt pack with everything you need; paper quilt square and crayons from Landon’s Ices & Creams February 4-8, 2022. After you’ve taken your packet home, read over your hero and learn something new. Color all three hexagons and place them back in the bag. (No need to cut or glue, this part will be done once all the pieces are collected.) Please drop your work of art off at the La Plata Town Hall between February 9-11th in the designated drop box located in the front.  The quilt will be on display for all to see at Landon’s by February 16th. If you have questions in regard to the project please send an email to theplayfulparent@yahoo.com.
