CHARLES COUNTY INDOOR POOL SCHEDULE

The Donald M. Wade Aquatic Center and Lackey Indoor Pool are currently open with the following policies in place:
- Only Charles County residents will be permitted.
- Open Swim Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 5:30-8:00 p.m. (Lackey) , 7:09-9:00 pm (North Point & Wade) ,
- Saturdays and Sundays, 9am-12pm (Lackey) Noon-6:00 p.m. (Donald M. Wade & North Point)
- General Guidelines:
- Maximum 70 patrons permitted into the facility.
- General pool admission is limited to 2 hours.
- Patrons will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis.
- Swim lessons, pool rentals, lane rentals, and birthday parties are not available at this time.
- Lap Swimming:
- During open swim hours, 2 lanes will be reserved for lap swimming.
- During our high school swim clinic, only 1 lane will be reserved for lap swimming.
- Lap swimming only hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – Noon. at Donald M. Wade Aquatic Center
- During this time, all 6 lanes will be available
- Lap swimming will run on a windowed cycle. For example, if the first window starts at 4:00 p.m., that window will close at 5:00 p.m. The next window would run from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and the windows would proceed in that cycle for the duration of open swim hours.
- Lap lanes will be limited to 1 person per lane, unless a member of the same household.
- Water Aerobics at Donald M. Wade Aquatic Center:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
- Classes are limited to 20 participants
- Walk-in Fee: $8/class
- Prior to Arrival and Admission:
- Please follow all recommendations on COVID-19 – if you are feeling sick, please stay home.
- Patrons will check-in upon arrival.
- Accepted forms of payment: cash, credit card, punch card, and RecPASS.
- Daily admission fees:
- Ages 2 and Younger – Free
- Youth (Ages 3-12) and Seniors (60+) – $5
- Adults (Ages 13-59) – $6
- Patrons are encouraged to wear their bathing suits to/from the facility.
- All personal belongings should remain with you during your visit. Items left behind will be discarded daily.
- Patrons are encouraged to bring a water bottle. No other drinks or outside food will be permitted into the facility.
- Masks and Social Distancing:
- Masks are required for patrons over the age of 5 when entering the facility, on the pool deck, in the restrooms, and when social distancing is not possible.
- Masks are not required to be worn in the water unless participating in shallow water exercise such as water aerobics
- Patrons sitting on the pool deck with their feet in the water will not be considered to be in the water and must wear a mask.
- All patrons are required to maintain a distance of 6 feet between themselves and anyone (including our staff) who is not a member of their household. Social distancing guidelines also apply in the water and our staff will be enforcing social distancing throughout the facility.
- Pool Furniture and Equipment:
- Bleachers will be marked with 6 feet of distance between sections.
- Sections may not be shared with a member of a different household.
- Sections will be sanitized by staff after each use. Outside furniture is not permitted.
- General pool equipment (kickboards, pool noodles, life jackets, etc) will not be available for public use.
- The water basketball hoop will not be available.
- Bleachers will be marked with 6 feet of distance between sections.
