Details: Discover archaeology at Mount Vernon, and learn about how Archaeologists help shape what we know about George Washington, the evolution of the estate, and the lives of the enslaved people who lived here. Meet real Mount Vernon Archaeologists and ask them questions about their work.

Enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family, including plotting objects on a Dig Grid, sorting objects and artifacts, and examining real artifacts excavated around Mount Vernon.
This activity is included with Mount Vernon admission. Reserve your tickets online.

    Details: October 7th & 8th – We will be hosting a new 2 day event that will represent Southern Maryland at its finest! There will be unique artisans, cultural foods, a variety of spirits, live music, demos, childrens activities and family fun to be had by all.

    Discounted tickets will be available for advance purchase for the general public, with special discounts for Historic Sotterley members. Your ticket purchase can be used for one entry on either day of Saturday or Sunday and covers entry to the event only. Food & drink are available for purchase.
