CHARLES COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY AT HOME

SOMD SUNFLOWER SEPTEMBER

“Sunflower September” is our annual event redesigned for safety and joy all month long. Next year we’ll return to a full Sunflower Festival!
Enjoy 8 acres of pick-your-own sunflowers. Sunflower picking is included in the ticket price. Bring your own shears!
Masks are required in all indoor spaces and outdoor spaces if physical distancing of at least 6 feet is not possible.
Only pre-paid tickets will be accepted for entry. Choose the date and time frame of your visit.
$10.00 per Adult, Children 7 & under are FREE. Tickets are limited!

In an effort to ensure the safety of our visitors and volunteers, advance online ticketing for various arrival times is required, with a limited number of tickets available for each time frame.
Advance tickets are required for admission, and no walk-ins will be allowed.
Please keep in mind these important safety protocols:
* Follow all physical distancing recommendations, maintaining a six-foot distance between you, other guests, and volunteers.
* Visitors are required to have face coverings handy, wearing them inside the Harvest House at all times, or outdoors whenever physical distancing is difficult to maintain.
* Follow all posted safety protocols, including directional signage and limitations to the number of guests allowed in contained areas.
* Please do not visit if you are ill or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19.

FAMILY NIGHT SMALLWOOD POOL
Details: Event for Smallwood Members- The pool might be closed, but the fun continues at Smallwood!
Come enjoy some outdoor fun on the grounds of Smallwood Village Swim Club. We have large field, volleyball court and lots of picnic tables to enjoy our concession stand offerings! Plus we’ll have music and a movie! BYOB

DRIVE IN MOVIE

Join us for a Drive-In movie – Jurassic Park!
General Admission ticket sales online. Tickets are $25 per vehicle. Must prepurchase in advanced
Gates Open at 7:00pm – please do not arrive prior to 6:45pm. Movie Begins after sundown around 8:40pm.
Audio for the film will be broadcast over radio waves to your car, tune in to FM Radio 89.9 and enjoy!
We will have wine, slushees, beer, and food options on site. You are allowed to bring your own food if you’d like, however, no outside alcohol is allowed.
*Social distancing rules need to be followed – masks must be worn when ordering your food/drinks and using the restrooms. Please maintain safe distances in line. Sitting in the bed of a pick up truck is permitted.
The Playful Parent was created by Kristy a mother of three energetic boys. She has a Bachelors degree with a interest in Education and Masters in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. “I believe that children learn through play! I love to do fun things with my children and hope that sharing our adventures provides other families with inspiration and resources that lead to quality time together and a love for learning!” This non profit 501c3 organization was started so parents would have a family friendly place to come to, feel supported and leave with information that is useful. This site is kept advertisement and influence free in order to keep the page from clutter and bias opinion. Your support, feedback, likes and comments are essential; this site was designed to connect the community. The Playful Parent offers resources such as guides, calendars and ideas for making learning fun. In addition, TPP is present in the community and hosts a handful of events to support SOMD in raising healthy families.
