Halloween is approaching quickly, and that means it’s almost that time of year when the amount of candy and sugar needs regulating without depriving the kids. Packing school lunches can be a little tricky when you have a little one with allergies or you need to find alternative foods that are safe around classmates with reactions. I have been on both sides of this. I personally have a strong allergy to cinnamon and an intolerance to gluten. I often want to eat along side my friends without missing out on the fun. I also want to bring something that everyone will enjoy and not pass because it doesn’t taste good. When my kids were in school they had to avoid packing foods with peanuts in order to keep a peanut free environment for peers. It can be tricky and expensive to find something everyone can eat.
