I’m not sure if it’s cabin fever from winter and COVID, or the excitement of spring and things opening back up; but I’m hearing a lot of parents say they are looking for ways to get their kids out of the house to burn off excessive energy. If you are looking to prevent stir crazy kiddos before you go insane than you will be excited to test out this new family fun center. Action Jaxx offers an indoor play arena for kids ages crawling and up. Here’s a sneak peek look at the new family fun center located right here in Waldorf, Maryland that just opened its door in March of 2022.

The pictures in this article may look familiar because the newly renovated space was formerly known as A Family Place to Play. Chris the owner of Action Jaxx took one look at the old space and saw potential. A fresh coat of paint, deep cleaning and new equipment can do a lot! Action Jaxx center offers 5,000 square foot of fun featuring a giant indoor jungle gym, huge inflatable slides and obstacle course and video games.

The giant jungle gym consisting of a giant 3-story play pavilion perfect for kids ages 3-13; featuring of a series of colorful tube slides, wave and spiral slides, twisty stairs, obstacles, ramps, and a handful interactive play activities within.

There are three bounce houses in addition to the giant jungle gym. Whether your little one likes jumping around, climbing walls, sliding down slides or mastering an obstacle course there something for everyone.

Included in the admission price are a handful of games; basketball hoop shooting game, air hockey and a arcade console featuring over 100 classic games.

The toddler section is super adorable. Little ones can play in space just meant for them. Infant and toddlers are sure to love the mini ball pit, tiny slides and interactive projector screens.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Pack Socks: Action Jaxx is a socks only facility. You don’t have to wear special socks, however, I recommend socks with grips.
  • Refuel: There are beverages and food items available for purchase. Water and light snacks are allowed in the sitting area/lobby; however, no food or drink in the play zone.
  • Safety First: You will love to hear that they clean the play center throughout the day and keep the place at tip top shape. Hand sanitizer is stationed at the front desk, so be sure to wash your hands when coming and going to keep everyone in good health.
  • Homeschool Days: Wednesdays are homeschool days. Meet fellow homeschool families and enjoy a discounted play for $10.
  • Parties: Action Jaxx specialized in party planning. They have options to host a party at the Fun Center; as well as offer rentals for your own special event.
