On the third day of Christmas The Playful Parent gave away Battleworld by funko. If you have a Marvel fan in your home you are sure to geek out about this one! As I have mentioned before this is hands down my kids favorite game to play as of late. Funko has done an amazing job with combining collectibles with gaming. I have sneaking suspicion that Santa will put these in the kids stockings!

ABOUT THE GAME

In this epic game, Thanos has created a new world, The Battleworld. This planet assembles some of Marvel’s greatest heroes in the ultimate face-off. Battleworld features 30 collectible mini pieces that are used in the game. The game is super easy to play. My boys ages 6 and 8 caught on quickly and often play it independently without assistance. The objective of the game is quite simple… Pick a Hero and use their unique special abilities to defeat villains in battles. You win battles by rolling the dice to attack; once you’ve achieved the battle goals you win the victory! Complete a targeted number of victories to beat Thanos and win the game.

This game is recommended for ages 6 and up. It takes about 15-30 minutes to play. It is also a cooperative game so this is great for teaching children to work as a team or for family bonding. When purchasing the game you want to make sure you purchase a starter kit because you will need at least four hero’s to play. You can add on to your collection with expansion packs, each expansion comes with two; one revealed character and one secret hero hidden away in a Thanos stone.
