One of the things my boys look forward to every year around the holiday season is seeing Santa drive past our house on a fire truck! The following Fire Departments host a Santa run schedule each year. The dates and times have been announced for a handful of stations. However, not all have been announced yet. I will keep this list updated to help families and to reduce contacting the stations who are already busy responding to emergencies. Keep in mind inclement weather and rescue calls can cause cancelations, delays or schedule changes. CALVERT COUNTY

  • DUNKIRK VFD- SCHEDULE LINK – Santa will make his way around town Sunday December 13-18, 2020 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Sunday December 13th: The Meadows, Breezy Knoll Estates, Timberneck, Georgianna Lane, Victoria Station. Monday December 14th: Sam Hill Dr., Hampton Heights, Lord Calvert Estates, Foxchase, Friday Creek Estates. Wednesday December 16th: Ferry Landing Woods, Old Hundred, Smithville, Smiths Purchase, Country Road Estates, Brickhouse Estates. Thursday December 17th: Lyons Creek Overlook, Patuxent Palisades, Shores of Calvert, Regal Estates, Ashwood Manor. Friday December 18th: Twin Shields Estates, Lyons Creek Hundred, Cavalier Country, Odyssey. Saturday December 19th: Fairview Farm, Arbor Greene, Somerset, Grantham Hall, Cabin Branch, Mt Harmony Farm, Covenant Creek, Cross Point, Mt Harmony Estates.   • HUNTINGTOWN VFD- The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will once again be escorting Santa Claus through our first due area beginning Friday, December 11th, 2020. For specific times and schedule, please see their pinned post on Facebook.

  • PRINCE FREDERICK VFD- PAGE LINK – Has posted that they are planning the Santa Run and here’s the schedule …
  • SOLOMONS VFD- LINK – Santa will ride around town December 17-20. Schedule is detailed, see link for details.
  • ST LEONARD VFD- PAGE LINK – St. Leonard VFD has announced that this years Santa Runs will take place December 17-19, 2020. They are working on details for the schedule and will post neighborhoods and streets soon.

CHARLES COUNTY

  • Accokeek- PAGE LINK– 2020 Santa Run is scheduled for December 19th and 24th.
  • BEL ALTON- SCHEDULE LINK 2020 Santa Run will be Friday December 18th starting at 5:30 PM making his rounds around town starting in Bel Alton Estates and ending with Sodus Manor off of South Faulkner Road.

  • BENEDICT VFD- PAGE LINK Benedict is finalizing details and shared they are hopeful to drive Santa around town the weekend before Christmas. Best place to keep track of their schedule is on their webpage.

  • BRANDYWINE VFD- PAGE LINK – Brandywine is scheduled for December 6th, 19th & 20th.   • COBB ISLAND- SCHEDULE LINK – I have spoke with the station and they will host a Santa run, just haven’t set a date yet. It might look a little different this year. Usually they schedule their run for the Sunday before Christmas. I will post details once they are released.
  • DENTSVILLE- SCHEDULE LINK – Dentsville will run Santa through town December 11th & 18, 2020.
  • HUGHESVILLE- SCHEDULE LINK – Volunteers will be escorting Santa around town starting Saturday November 28, 2020 and the weekends following until December 13, 2020. Due to COVID and scheduling concerns, Hughesville will be unable to commit to specific dates or post them. Listen for the sirens on Friday, Saturday or Sunday!
  • INDIAN HEAD 10TH DISTRICT – PAGE LINK – Plans to make their way around town on December 23, 2020 starting at 6:00 PM.
  • LAPLATA VFD – PAGE Link – The La Plata VFD does an amazing job communicating with residents about their Santa Run schedule. They will be out between 6-9 PM Friday’s & Saturday’s. December 4th- Glen Eagle/St. Charles, Warrlinda Village, Smitty Dr, Rhones Dr, Turkey Hill Rd, Mitchell Rd. December 5th- Hawkins Gate Rd., Kings Grant, Agricopia, Hickroy Ridge. December 11th- Clarks Run, Wood Haven, Robin Rd, Prince Charles Dr/Ellenwood, Lofton Hill.  December 12th- Simms Landing Rd, Chandlers Town, Shirley Blvd, Ann Harbor Dr, Rose Hill, Valley Rd.   • WALDORF VFD COMPANY 3– PAGE LINK – I received the following message- “Unfortunately due to Covid Department Leaders have decided not to do Santa runs.”
  • WESTLAKE STATION 12-  PAGE LINK– A message was sent to me by the department saying, “This year we apologize but will not be doing Santa runs, due to covid 19 and the social distancing we want to not put our members in harms way.”

ST. MARY’S COUNTY
