Mother’s Day is May 10, 2020 this year and with social isolation in effect grandmother’s are dying to see and get hugs from their grand-babies more than ever. Since the kids can’t go to Grandma’s house right now, you can still give her a giant hug!  I’m not quite certain where this idea originated. However, I remember doing this as a kid. Growing up in a military family; you get creative with staying connected to family and friends when you are stationed far from home. Sending a hug is the perfect solution for when you can’t be there in person. This activity is super simple, yet genius! All you have to do is trace your little ones outstretched arms to create a giant “hug,” roll it up and mail it out.

POEM

HUG - T
SENDING ALL MY LOVE

Even though I’d love to see you every day,

in our houses we must stay.

I miss you with all my heart,

and wish we weren’t kept apart.

Since I can’t come over to play,

I’m mailing you this hug today!

Wrap my arms around you tight,

Repeat daily until we reunite.
