For this weeks Homemade Monday series, I will be sharing about a fun craft called Linkt Craft Kits by Oh Neat! I had the honor of meeting Rebeca Mojica master artisan and creative designer of Linkt. Her jewelry designs have been featured in the news and magazines across the country. It is amazing that she has taken this idea and fashioned a way for kids to enjoy the art of jewelry making. Kids love making things for their parents; how great it is for them to make fashionable pieces that are works of art and fashionable to wear. I especially wanted to feature these kits in enough time to order before Mothers day coming up in less than a month. I know I would love to get a beautiful handmade necklace.

Linkt Craft Kits were awarded the ASTRA Best Toys For Kids 2017 and are the first ever chainmaille kits for kids. This unique and fashionable jewelry is based on the historic art of chainmaille that has been around for centuries. These famous designs are most commonly seen in medieval armor and more recently re-invented to be worn as artistic and fashionable jewelry.
LINKT CRAFT KIT- BONDING BRACELETS
We tested out the Apprentice level 1 Bonding Bracelet Kit and had such a great time making Mother’s Day gifts for all the grandmas.
Each kit contains all the supplies you need to make gorgeous creations. The packs come with: instructions, rings, findings, and a extremely useful magic layout tool that holds your rings in place while you work.
Every kit has detailed, easy-to-follow instructions and you can even watch tutorial videos that walks you through the project.
What makes these kits perfect for kids is that the jump rings are made of a soft enough metal that is easy to open and close with your fingers, yet strong enough to make fashionable jewelry you can wear.
My oldest son was so proud of his work of art! I can’t tell you how many compliments he got on it all day. Everyone thought that it was professionally made jewelry!
INFORMATION ABOUT LINKT CRAFT KITS
There are five introductory kits available. Each kit is around a $20 price point and includes everything you need to complete multiple projects in a single box. Kits can make up to 20 pairs of earrings, or 5 necklaces, or 5 bracelets—mixing and matching metal and silicone rings in a variety of colors so every single piece is different.
Age Group: 8+ This kit is recommended for older children ages 8 and up as it requires higher level manual dexterity finger strength to work with metal; as well as uses logic and math skills to form patterns. This being said, my six year old enjoyed creating a bracelet.
