The 25th Annual Farpoint Science Fiction Convention comes to Hunt Valley, MD February 9-11, 2018. This awesome convention offers science fiction fans of all ages a weekend full of fun! You won’t want to miss the amazing presentations on science fiction, fantasy, comics and science topics or workshops on costuming, writing and swordplay and especially the oppurtunities for gaming, charity and art auctions or entertaining events such as dance, karaoke and costume contest.

Here are 7 activities you wont want to miss when attending Farpoint with kids:

  1. Throughout the convention a series of drawing classes will be offered through the Art Way Alliance. Families can also stop by the Art Way Alliance display at the convention to do some drawing, coloring or doodling.
  2. There will be a Model Make and Take hosted by Perry County Hobbies in the dealers room. There will be a number of snap together models available for purchase and assembly at the Perry County table.
  3. Dont miss the movie and pajama party for our younger fans on Friday Night.
  4. Saturday has several activities kids and parents can do together, like the Wizarding Association of Non-Lethal Duelists (W.A.N.D.S.), a game based on the magical dueling rules from the Harry Potter series, cookie decorating and creating troll heads.
  5. Young cosplayers are welcome in the Saturday evening Masquerade costume contest starting at 8:00. All types of costumes are welcome and all young fan participants receive a prize bag.
  6. Sunday attendees can participate in a game show for all ages!
  7. Also on Sunday don’t miss the Lego Fun freeplay.

Cost: Friday single day ticket $15.00. Saturday single day ticket $60.00. Saturday evening after 6PM ticket $10.00. Sunday single day ticket $40.00.  Weekend tickets for children ages 5 and under are Free with paying adult.
