For this weeks Homemade Monday project I’m sharing a winter craft we did with our moms group this past week. We created the most adorable Mini Marshmallow Snowman Ornament!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

SNOWMANORNAMENT

  • Fillable Clear Plastic Ornament
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Black & Orange Paint Markers

HOW TO MAKE YOUR MARSHMALLOW SNOWMAN ORNAMENT

SNOWMANINSTRUCTIONStep 1: The first part is the most fun! Take the top of the ornament off and have your little one fill the ornament with marshmallows! Be sure to stuff as many in as you can to fill the whole ornament. Once it is full put the top back on. (Tip: Try to avoid licking fingers or snacking on the marshmallows until the end. If your little one gets the marshmallows even just a little bit wet they will stick to the ornament and not turn out as pretty. I suggest having your little one create the craft then eat a few at the end.) SNOWMANFACE

Step 2: Using your black paint marker draw two dots for eyes and a mouth on the ornament. Next use your orange marker to create a carrot nose in order to complete the snowman’s face. Let set for 5-10 minutes to dry.

Step 3: While you are waiting for the paint to dry you can read a snowman themed book or  make Snowman’s Soup (hot chocolate) together. Once your ornament is dry you can add string and hang on the tree.
