There’s so much to love about the winter season with all the joyful holidays and beautiful scenery of fresh white snow fallen on the ground. However, I get the chills just thinking about braving the weather to plan a trip to the park. I know we are all hunting down cold weather alternatives to outdoor play for our kids. There is a new indoor play facility opening up right here in Charles County that you will definitely want to add to your indoor play list.
This new place we are looking forward to exploring is called Tiny Town and is set to open late November to early December of 2017. Tiny Town is a place for young children to play, celebrate & enjoy being a kid! This is a family owned and operated facility that is dedicated to making little wishes become big celebrations. After having the honor to meet with creators Anita and Laura, I discovered how passionate their hearts are about providing a place where families can make memories. Anita explained that planning parties can be extremely stressful and all to often the parents are so busy making sure that things are running smoothly that they don’t get to enjoy the special day. Tiny Town hopes to host parties where the whole family can have a stress free and fun time.
There are four private party rooms available each designed differently to make the birthday girl or boy wishes come true. You can pick from a variety of party packages that include everything food, decorations and entertainment so that all you have to do is enjoy the special day. One cool thing Tiny Town offers that you wont find anywhere else are character visits to your party. What little one would want to meet their favorite super hero, princess or movie character?!? I think it’s a great idea that they also have a waiting room to sit back and relax in while waiting for guests to arrive. Here’s a little preview of the party rooms available:

The highlight of Tiny Town is the amazing play space! Included in the play room are two structures; one designed specifically for young children under five and one perfect for kids ages five and over. There are also two moon bounces, a smaller bounce house for younger ones to jump around in and a giant castle with a slide.

This not your typical play place with just tunnels and slides. The structure is designed to encourage autonomy, promote gross motor development and large muscle control through active play experiences.
There are plenty of opportunities for large motor skills are provided through obstacle type equipment that work on balance, coordination, running, climbing, and jumping.
Be sure to explore all the nooks and crannies because there are lots of hidden fun things to discover. 
Tiny Town also hopes to have open play days for supervised indoor play, where littles ones can run, climb, jump and play. The tentative days for toddler time will be Mondays and Wednesday 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM for little ones under the age of five. Toddler time free play prices are still not set but should be around $8 per kid.
