Wonderful listing of local group’s. Thank you for compiling and sharing this information. I’m interested in starting a group for moms…mostly of teens. I find that the support is still needed. Did I miss it or is there a group like that already?

Nicole, I would agree with your comment it does seem like our county has more support for families of younger children. Moms Club does not have a age set though, it is however geared towards stay at home moms. I will try to do some research and see what I can find. There was a working moms group that met informally once a month that I could reach out to if you are interested. Also, please feel free to email me any time. There are no formal working moms groups that have been opened in our area. There are a few social networking supports such as “hey, mama.” On Facebook that is open to all moms working and stay at home. I’m a full time working mom and see the need. Seems like most working parents are too busy to start something official. Through The Playful Parent I have host multiple events on evenings and weekends to benefit all families. The next one should be a family board game night soon January/February. I will have on the calendar of this site and event notice on the Facebook page.
