We couldn’t have picked a more perfect hotel for our stay in Plymouth. Located across the street from the bay, Hotel 1620 is the ideal place to stay for exploring historic Plymouth. Situated down town, visitors can walk to popular restaurants and attractions like Plymouth Rock, Mayflower II Replica and other historical sites.

We were blessed with beautiful warm sunny weather; so walking around town every afternoon was the highlight of our day. There is so much to do and explore around the Harbor. We enjoyed visiting famous land marks and participating in the pilgrim experience.

An added bonus to staying at Hotel 1620 are the hidden treasures you are walking distance to. The concierge suggested we explore Nelson Memorial Park.  This park had a large play ground with slides, swings, sandbox and obstacle courses from kids of all ages. My boys loved the splash pad with water features. I loved how the spray ground blended into it’s natural surrounding.

The hotel is also located right next to a village market with restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors and treat shops. Every evening we’d sneak out for a treat and fun on little quarter rides.

I don’t want to forget mentioning that by September 2016 room renovations will be complete! Check out a sneak peek at the glamorous, spacious and stylish rooms. The rooms have a nautical theme with a elegant contemporary twist.

One of the things that made the hotel stand out for me was the excellent hospitality. From the day we checked in we were greeted by wonderful front desk staff that you could tell genuinely cared about the experience of each one of their guests.

We can’t wait to return back to the Hotel after the grand reopening in December 2016. The lobby, conference rooms and restaurant will all be getting a make over. I hope they keep the pool, colonial mural and revolving doors cause the kids loved these bonuses.
